Expedition subframes are designed for longevity and best “total cost of ownership”. The frame is hot galvanized dipped for internal and external corrosion protection, and then 2 layers of epoxy powder coated. Pivot brackets and components are also 2 layer epoxy coated or zinc plated. The pivot bearings are serviceable oil impregnated bronze bushings, which are available on the market.
