A “Zero Torsion” subframe’s purpose is to allow the truck frame to torsionally twist while the vehicle is moving over uneven terrain, to maintain all four wheels in contact with the ground as much as possible, while keeping the camper safely supported on a flat, torsion free platform we call the “weldment.”
Our design allows the front of the truck frame to pivot in one direction, while the rear pivots on a perpendicular axis, independently. This is only possible due to the rigidity and structural construction of of our box. Our subframes allow our campers to truly “float” above the truck frame, independent of the frame twist and movement. Our subframes are designed for multiple attachment points for varying applications and will accommodate truck frame widths from 34 to 44 inches.
Our subframes now come with hot dipped zinc (galvanized) coated inside and out and double layers of gloss hammer-tone powder coating for the best corrosion protection on the market. Hang your storage boxes from the subframes, no problem!
